“Colligo Introduces Secure SharePoint iPad App” reports on Colligo’s release of the Colligo Briefcase Enterprise, a new application that enables secure SharePoint access from an iPad.

What this product does is provide end users the convenience of an iPad app for sharing content, while giving IT pros the security they long for with mobile applications.

The product features hardware-based encryption, the ability to remotely wipe SharePoint content from the iPad, and restricted access on a site-by-site basis determined by administrators.  There is a free version of the app available which limits users to one SharePoint site with limited synching, and disabled enterprise security features.  With more and more SharePoint users seeking the freedom of mobile devices, this app will probably be in high demand.
